THE COMPANY WANTED TO....

Create a personal finance manager inside their current mobile app
THE CHALLENGE

Enhance the current use of the app by displaying the relevant information for each user
THE PROCESS
RESEARCH
This presented a challenge as we sought the opportunity to collaborate with Banca March. We had to make the most of the information provided to us within a tight 3-day timeframe to develop a prototype.
Working in pairs, with one UX designer paired with a UI designer, our goal was to create two prototypes, offering the client a choice between alternatives. My role was as a UX designer. Initially, all I had was a document with some references about the bank's customer profile. I analyzed this information and commenced my desk research on the bank, conducting a benchmark analysis that focused on two main entities in Europe: BBVA and Fintonic. Given the time constraints, these were the primary areas of my analysis.
ANALYSIS
With the limited information available, I developed user personas. While these personas may not have been entirely accurate, they served as valuable tools in helping us grasp the relevant information for Banca March's clients. In this scenario, the clients were high-profile individuals with significant investments. They were less concerned about their daily expenses and more focused on the behavior of their investments.
PRODUCT DESIGN
To define the information architecture, the crucial step was organizing how we wanted to present information to capture the users' attention, emphasizing the most relevant details at the first level. We established relationships between products and accounts and then utilized a tree diagram to outline the entire app architecture.
An essential consideration was the integration of the PFM into the existing app. Thus, we had to strategize on how to incorporate it seamlessly and organically
PROTOTYPE

Due to the tight time constraints, all ideas were developed on paper and shared with the UI designers. Subsequently, they were translated into wireframes using Sketch.
What I learned in this project

I gained experience working alongside UI designers in an agile and high-pressure environment, which facilitated faster feedback exchange, accelerating the design process
